SWFL Summer Vacation: Ways to Beat the Heat

Florida is known for two things during the summer: the sun, and the rain. The weather can be hot, humid, and rainy, but that doesn't have to ruin your trip to SWFL. There are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself in the rain or shine. Here are some of our go-to's:

1. The Beach

Collier County has some very nice beaches to visit. Naples Beach, Barefoot Beach, the Naples Pier, and Tiger Tail Beach on Macro Island are just some of the places to soak up some Vitamin D while enjoying the surf and the sand. And bonus, if you stay at one of the fabulous beach resorts in town, you won't have to worry about finding parking! So grab you suit and sandals and head to the shore!

2. Sun-N-Fun Lagoon

Did you know that Collier County has a water park? That's right complete with a lazy river, giant slides, and a diving pool it's fun for the whole family. Located on Livingston Rd, Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is currently open on weekends from 10a - 5p and parking is FREE. So pack up the kids and head over to our local water park!

3. Visit a Museum

Taking the fun inside is sometimes exactly what you need! Collier County has 5 museums located in Naples, Marco Island, Immokalee, and Everglades City. Visiting a museum means time inside away from the sun or the rain while learning about the awesome history of Collier County! The Naples Depot Museum is also very conveniently located, right off 5th Ave; so if you're out shopping on 5th stop on in!

4. C'mon

The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples is another top-notch family friendly place to visit. It's fun, educational, and air conditioned. Plus it's right next to North Collier Regional Park, which is a great place to relax or let the kids play while it's nice out.
